PIFEVA organized sessions to popularize laws and texts protecting women's rights (the law on SGBV DRC, 1325 and the CEDF) in Mwenga territory

As part of the project Promotion and protection of women's rights and support for their socio-economic recovery in Mwenga territory with the objective of contributing to the strengthening of local mechanisms for the promotion and protection of the rights of women and young girls and support for the socio-economic empowerment of vulnerable and marginalized women and girls emerging from armed conflicts in the territory of Mwenga in South Kivu in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo, the NGO PIFEVA organized sessions to popularize laws and texts protection of women's rights (the law on sexual and gender-based violence in the DRC, 1325 and the CEDF) in Mwenga territory in South Kivu.

Immediate Impacts

Community members including traditional leaders and political-administrative authorities, young people as well as vulnerable and marginalized women (themselves) are mobilized and actively engage in the promotion and defense of women's rights and the fight against sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) in Mwenga territory.
